On my notice period and don't care any more- what to do at work?
So I recently resigned from my current job as I found a much better new one. They didn't want to let me go earlier than the 1 month notice period, however I'm not particularly motivated to push myself any more. We sit in a small open plan office so it's not like I can just do whatever on my computer.
What would you do in this situation?
Go out with a bang, you never know if you might need/want to go back and/or want a solid reference. I've seen a number of people leave, and come back for a senior role because they kept the doors open.
Isn't going out with a bang a bit counterproductive for keeping doors open?
This place I can 100% guarantee I never want to go back to. Have a good reference yes, but go back to definitely not.
Will you ever work with your current peers again?
When do you get bonused...?
Start planning out your next 3-5 years and evaluate the last couple.
I really hate it when it's my time of the month too...
Hahah you must be really conflicted about the position you're in. By chance did you pose this same question on reddit as well?
Leave on a great note, it's only for the better.
Leave on a bad note, and it can haunt you.
