Yeah they are also hiring a lot at the associate level as well (am in process for an associate role there). From what I heard, most of those analyst seats in NYC are already in mid to final round stages regarding process

Bump looks like there’s openings in M&A, FIG. Anyone have color on those processes / are these good jobs to apply to?
M&A at UBS might be the worst groups in all of banking. You get no deal experience, no WLB, toxic people who are mostly stuck because of their visas, and high chances of eventual layoffs once people high up realize your group costs more than it contributes. There are multiple analysts every year who quit with nothing lined up in UBS M&A because of how bad it is. The bathroom near the M&A bullpen has juniors crying in it basically every day. It is actual hell on earth. The rest of the bank says "at least I am not in M&A" whenever they are having a rough day.
