Any opinions on Sterne Agee. It's a small, regional player (seems to be mainly focused on retail and the institutional muni market), but it seems to be growing both its research and capital markets efforts. I'm interviewing with the HY Credit Research group in NY. Exit opps?

Anyone have any information on the IB team there? What is the bank's reputation on the street? Do people at bulge brackets or mid-market large banks like Jefferies or Stifel know Sterne Agee?
Does the bank pay below street base? Also are their bonuses below street? (30-40% of base?)
