Outside recruiting timeline.. thoughts?

Just found this site. I didn't become interested in finance until senior year so I completely missed the SA/recruiting process, (I completed 1 1-month internship @ a financial consulting firm where I got some modeling/pitchbook experience but nothing in M&A). I graduated with a 3.45 in econ (did a lot of mathematical/empirical stuff) from a top 5 LAC and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/strategies for landing an analyst position in IB. I've been networking like a madman but pretty much missed everything for this year.. maybe 2 years in consulting, MBA, then IBD?
