Overcoming Burnout

We’ve all been there, nobody who works in finance can say they haven’t at some point. Hoping we can all pull from our experiences and come up with a list of great coping strategies and advice. With everything going on I especially hope some juniors can take away something that can help them.

I will start:

1) Everyday no matter what take at least 30 minutes to do whatever you want, no excuses

2) talk to friends, family. Get a therapist if you don’t want to bother them, their job is to listen and it doesn’t have to be about stereotypical therapy feeling things.

3) talk with fellow analysts and associates, we are all in this together and it helps foster a sense of community and shared struggle

What are your best practices for overcoming burnout?
