Would it be illegal to work an unpaid part time role in tech (something in growth, product management etc) at a startup while as an a analyst at an investment bank? Interested in getting to know the space better - thanks in advance!

Why, what if it's unpaid
Paid or unpaid, that's not the issue. I genuinely don't think there's enough time in the week to try this. Do you not know the hours bankers work AND the hours startups work?
I mean, nothing about it is illegal unless it's in your employment contract, but I can guarantee it is somewhere in there, and I can't imagine any startup would want to bring you in considering the fact most startups work their people to the bone and most IB firms work their people to the bone. You don't have that many bones. You would need more bones, which is not something you can get on short notice.
