Party Poll

http://www.economist.com/blogs/dailychart/2011/09…

Recent party studies done by Yale create a picture of America's largest political groups' opinions of global warming and related matter. Tea Partiers take the cake. I am extremely worried about this group.

Edmundo BravermanDude, it's POLL, not POLE.

I clicked here hoping to see strippers.

Dammit.

You beat me to it

Thanks for the post, now get back to homeroom

Unless you were trying to do a play on words with "pole" as your pic is a polar bear and the ice melts from the north and south poles... but I highly doubt this was your intention

What sticks out to me is just how much of a political left/right issue the environment has become. It shouldn't be. Everybody wants clean air and such, but I guess it's just a function of how to get it. Global warming especially has become a huge divide.

HAHA, ok tear me a new asshole for pole, i deserve it. I was at work at 6am this morning which is way to early for me to generally give a shit. but still... shameful

Most right wingers don't believe global warming is caused by humans, that's the divide.

Besides, when you have the left wing media covering this, do you think they are going to show Tea Partiers in a positive light?

First of all, Economist is right wing. Second of all, the actual study is by Yale. Even if they are historically left leaning, they are an institution and don't let their judged biases affect their works, as it is a poll. It is just straight forward data.

I said liberal left wing media, I didn't specify the Economist. yes, I know, that's where this poll is.

I never argued with global warming/climate change. I just don't believe it's caused by man.

sure the poll itself may be unbiased (who they polled, when, etc. can add bias) but the research itself necessarily isnt. east anglia university anyone?

universities are the most biased institutions in the world, worse than governments.

Sooooooo.... you guys do realize that the earth has been COOLING since 1998, right? And that the increase in CO2 levels that Gore claimed to be the cause of warming actually was preceded by the warming by 800-2000 years on average prior to changes in the CO2 levels? And that in the 70's there was a huge scare that the earth was COOLING too much and that we needed to do shit or else the gulf current was gonna stop flowing to europe and the oceans would freeze over and shit?

Perhaps "Global Warming" is too literal for some people. Climate change then. And rise in CO2 is not caused by warming, it is the cause of warming. Hope you just have your words mixed up. And you can try and argue it as much as you like, but its happening. I grew up in mountains, over the years the weather patterns have become more fucked. Idk how this is even a legitimate argument? It is science accepted by almost every scientist and universally by every other country in the world.

Nah dawg, rises in CO2 are preceded by rises in temperature. Makes sense because there would be more digestion when things get hotter, and all the little animals and everything releasing more shit in to the atmosphere. Check out the five facts listed here:

Lol, its science accepted by people who manipulate data to support their findings and of an ex vice president who has made hundreds of millions peddling it, thats for sure.

Haha, your source is so laughable. Its on a party website whose platform is in denial of global warming? Talking about twisting facts. And idk why you'd think people would WANT to twist facts about global warming? I mean to what end would they do that? So Al Gore had a hit, but you think he's in cahoots with scientists all over the world?

Idk, just seems like you've lost touch with reality. Source is awful. You probably also believe that 9/11 was a gov conspiracy. Whatever, I'm not even going to get into this with someone so belligerently stupid and ignorant about things. Post your response sure, but its not worth it, I'm done with this.

Dude are you on crack? So a guy who has made hundreds of millions of dollars off climate change alarmism has less of a motive to twist facts than this random assed congressman, based off of the fact of the congressmans party? Way to go not disputing a single damn thing I said sherlock.

Protip: There are references to every fucking thing he said at the bottom of that page. These are federal agencies and peer reviewed journals. Take a minute to actually look at the shit you're talking about next time.
