People who quit high Finance - did you regret it?
My question is self-explanatory. If you made the decision to walk away from Finance (IB / PE / HF / S&T etc.) for something completely different, in hindsight are you happy with the decision?
I would also be curious to know:
- Why did you walk away?
- Where did you land?
- Do you regret joining Finance in the first place?
People who leave go on to bigger and better things!
I'm thinking more along the lines of people who quit to be a school teacher or somethign else completely random lol
So... I am still in finance, but I am planning to exit to operating a bunch of small businesses.
Went into IBD and PE hoping to enable this exit in the first place, I never wanted to do finance for the rest of my life.
the plan is to pick up a few shops like convenience stores, car wash, laundromat, maybe a pet store or something.
Potentially in 2022 or 2023.
Hey man, I hear keeping good books for those kind of stores is really hard. If you ever need someone to handle some books for ya then I'm your guy
