Pierce & Pierce 2021 SA
Anyone know when SA applications open up? Also does anyone know what the culture is like? They have really strong deal flow so I’ve heard they get worked pretty hard and had a guy there who even went psycho.

Idk man they’ve been pretty quiet on the financial scene ever since one of their VPs left the firm
If you get that return offer you can afford to live in the American Gardens Building- next to Tom Cruise.
Decent business cards as well...
Can confirm that comp is one of the highest on the street past associate level. Business cards are pretty classy too but I’m not sure that interns get one tho
Word on the street is Yale students are automatically dinged????

Heard a few days ago about a kid that used an electric saw to try and secure a spot for 2021. Pretty interesting screening process they have over there
Culture definitely varies across firm. Their M&A team at the junior level is so bad that they call it murders & executions but past the VP level all you do is just grab lunch/dinner reservations with clients all week.
Exit ops are solid.
exit opps include death by murder and utter insanity
I heard one of the first tasks they make interns do is to "return some videotapes"...whatever the fuck that means
also heard that the welcoming dinner at Dorsia was bomb, great sea urchin ceviche
I’m sorry but what the fuck is this thread lmao
top tier thread
Must watch American psycho movie to understand
Can confirm a robust, yet interesting culture. You have to "want to fit in".
Met a couple of the associates at a networking event at Dorsia - seemed nice enough, perhaps a little anti-Semitic at times. Built some rapport with one of the VPs, sufficiently complemented him which I imagine he liked
impressive, very nice
P&P is not an EB anymore, barely MM. Delete pls.
Had a coffee chat with a VP there. Real smart guy (HBS & Harvard Undergrad) but had an even better tan. Didn't like the font on my resume though.
Was it Marcus Halberstam?
I’ve actually gone through their SA recruiting, seemingly unlike everyone else on this thread, so I should be able to give clear insights.
Super weird firm to be honest, culture is pretty uptight. What was pretty wild was that the night before the super day, we had a dinner with analysts, associates and VPs at Dorsia (not sure how they managed to get a res for all of us there tbh). This one VP gave off really weird vibes tho.. his name was like Batman or some shit? But he kept trying to get me to come back with him to his apartment, and had this bizarre fascination with Huey Lewis and the News, and Whitney Houston? Like bro it’s 2017 lol but whatever, I sort of fortunately diverted away from him and talked to some of the other analysts and associates, and he started talking to other candidates.
Day after, went through the super day and it was okay. Some tough technicals but was manageable. What was really strange though is I could’ve sworn there was one candidate who was at the dinner, but didn’t show to the super day? I asked about it to a couple of the P&P guys but they had no clue what I was talking about, and then actually suggested I leave, and never come back to their office.
All in all, 3/10 process, probably wouldn’t go through it again
