Piper Jaffray - NYC Office

Does anyone have insight into Piper Jaffray's NYC office specifically? I think they cover HC, FIG, and capital markets. I have a family friend there and I think I can definitely get an interview with them, so it would be great to know: 1. How much Minneapolis runs the show vs. NY being semi-autonomous 2. Is healthcare still their strongest group? I know they had some people leave a couple (?) years ago. 3. Do they have any sort of reputation for FIG? I haven't seen anything about their FIG group on WSO.

Apologies if this is a repost, but I did a search and it seems like most of the posts about Piper are either outdated or not specific to the NYC office.

Much appreciated!

"conyak" You have any insight on what's up with lev fin? I saw a position listings from analyst up to VP. Is that a new group or are the looking to expand? I had never heard of them with a dedicated lev fin group so I'm a bit curiou

LevFin operates under their DCM group. Went through the process with them recently, you might be a little late to the party. If you want to interview I'd start begging that family friend ASAP.
