Pitchbooks, LinkedIn & Blown Deals

As anyone who's churned through a pitch deck would know, finding headshots of board and management is a staple. A jaunty headshot , with a short and snazzy quip about how amazing a certain board member may be, is just one check-box that you need to fill.

LinkedIn is a pretty powerful tool, readily serving up curated and primmed shots of those people in questions. Here's a pro-tip for all those first-year analysts out there throwing these decks together.

If you're working on a top-secret bid for a target and you don't want to announce your bank's intentions with a bull-horn; make sure you log out of your LinkedIn profile or set it to anonymous before you go and hit up the LinkedIn profile page of each and every single person sitting on the Board and management of said target company.
