So I have an upcoming interview for a small IB group and I've read through some forums that the interviewee can sometimes be asked to pitch a stock. What's a stock you guys would recommend and why? Thanks in advance.

Pick a relatable business with a simple story because they don't care if you're right or wrong, they care about the discussion. Trying to dazzle them with something complex just comes off as immature.
So pitch something you already know a little about. I think the high-end mall REITs are a decent pitch, you can argue that theyve been beaten down because of a broader anti-retail story but the average rents and occupancies are holding up in the A-malls.
Same with any fast casual food concept that you like. Dave and Busters, Chipotle, etc. You can easily pick any of these and argue that its unique in some way and doesn't deserve to be hammered like its peers.
