PJT/Evercore/Laz/Roths (London)

Curious on how you would rank the above for Vanilla MF/UMM PE exits in London. Also, How significant is an additional European language when it comes to both mf and umm pe recruiting?

Additionally would appreciate some insights into the internal mobility at these firms (requesting a move to ny).

I'm talking exit opps here, not dealflow. EVR - while dealflow is indeed more towards MM (tho not pure MM like you say) - clearly has better exits than Laz / RTH. When was the last time you saw MF exit from Laz London (excl. Rx people)? I'll answer, it was c.3yrs ago to WP and think there was another one to Apollo at the time, that's it. Its like 1-2 exits every 3 years. Most exit to MM funds (Inflexion, Capvest etc)

Not seen them pitch personally but wouldn’t say they are presently underweight. Was randomly 5th in uk deals completed h1 this year. Dont think that was maintained for h2 but can imagine similar results again in 2024 considering the senior md poaching they’ve been doing since h1. Would say evr continental Europe is kinda as weak as this forum portrays it with only okay presence in Frankfurt/Paris but uk seems strong. Hey maybe I’m biased though as I’ve been seeking a lateral there for a few months now.
