Placed into completely random group for SA

Joining a BB SA this summer and was told that there was a mistake in my original desk allocation (1st rotation is my top choice, 2nd rotation in random group).

I have been networking for my top choice for the last few months so I sort of expected it to be a part of my rotations.

Now, both rotations are just completely random and a complete mismatch to my skillsets (1st rotation in a very quant/coding heavy group - legit I have zero code/quant skills, 2nd rotation is fine but still not on my submitted preference list)

With the new groups, I think the chances of getting a return offer just went down massively, considering I literally can't do the work that they do.

Extremely frustrated with this and already emailed HR asking for clarification.

Looking for any advices or tips on what to do in this case... much appreciated
