Post-MBA IB in NYC (top Independent) vs London (BB) vs HK (BB)

What are the thoughts on starting post-MBA IBD career in NYC vs London vs HK? Realize the difficulties, but do want to exit to HF/PE in either NYC or London (so, ruling out HK pretty much, unless a strong case) after IB. I have related finance experience pre-MBA in US and HK with relatively big names in AM (think PIMCO, Blackrock).

In terms of offers, considerations in NYC are top independents (e.g. Evercore/Moelis) and BB (JPM/Citi/CS). Considerations in London are tier-1 BB. And a BB in HK. Been receiving advice that top independent like Evercore is far better than the listed BBs and that NYC > ..BIG GAP.. > London > HK for prestige and learning. Priorities are learning M&A and exiting.

Would appreciate some thought behind the geography and also starting out in top independent vs BB.
