Potential for Lateral - Advice Needed

I’m 6 months into my 1st year as an analyst in a coverage group at a regional boutique in a T2 city in the northeast. I’ve pretty much had one foot out the door looking for lateral opportunities since my first day here. I haven’t really gotten much live deal experience and have been really grinding lateral applications / prep. I recently had an alum from my school reach out regarding at opening on the ECM team at a very well respected boutique bank.

I’ve always imagined being in coverage and admittedly don’t have much interest in going over to PE. I really like the idea of being a career banker but worry about viability in ECM. I don’t want to get pushed out as an associate with nowhere to go because I’ve pigeonholed myself. Overall, I feel like this should be a no-brainer as I’d be moving to a much stronger platform with better comp in the city I actually want to live in, but am curious if people think I should stick it out and wait for more coverage lateral moves to become available? Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.

Same. 6 months into first year analyst. At a MM firm in boston trying to lateral (albeit to M&A groups). I got into the lateral process for a BB coverage group in boston but that’s the only traction I’ve had for lateral unfortunately
