Powerpoint Tips

As the title says, I’m looking to get better in powerpoint. I know powerpoint and excel are huge for banking and I feel fairly comfortable with excel. Is there any resources that I could use to improve my skills in powerpoint? Anything critical to know? Thanks

Quick access toolbar

Use ppt for a few days, only using the mouse and make note of the things that are taking forever to select in the ribbon.

Add those items to your QAT. Mine has: align functions, being forward/backwards, font size, font color, shape fill, shape border, object swap, and size equalizer. There's a few others but I use them so sparingly I honestly don't remember.

Memorize control-g and control-shift-g

Also don't be afraid to use the right-click button on your keyboard. I find that saves me lots of time usually.

Absolutely this. QAT will save you in the long run even if the process to learn how to properly leverage it takes some time. If your bank gives you access to Wall Street Prep I highly recommend taking their PPT Crash Course, I set up my QAT the same way they did with one or two minor changes based on my preferences and it’s been the most helpful quality of life improvement possible

No need to learn PPT will be AI’d in the next couple years. The singularity is coming and its either gonna be awesome or the end
