Preparing for an internship in DCM

Group placement is coming up soon, and I have a strong preference for DCM. I've already done another internship in Capital Markets before and got outstanding reviews throughout, so I'm comfortable on the technical skills needed (PPT and Excel, FactSet & BBG I'll do a refresher on when in training bcos I didn't use them during my internship).

I wanted to know if anyone had any good primers or something that went through DCM on a high and low level? Also tips on being a successful intern and initiatives I can take to impress/go above and beyond? Really want to be fully clued on so I can be of value when and impress because DCM (or similar) is an area I really want to build a career in and hopefully get a return offer... An intern in summer 2022 did some sort of automation process of something and got a return offer, but idk exactly what, just a bit unsure of what level I need to be at. I mean, I'm pretty good at Excel, I can create dynamic portfolio stratification tables and such... idk VBA or how to do macros though

Appreciate any and all advice!

Thank you!

Be willing to learn as much as you can.

Most tasks people give you are simple and straightforward, and oftentimes trivial work. Always show a good attitude and deliver good results on these requests.

Get along with your team - fit can be equally if not more important than your work product.

BIWS has a DCM section but iirc, it was more specific to interviews. Most places will teach you what you need to learn on the desk regardless.
