Lower? I think my mom said something along the lines of the pay food chain going like this (at least at Citi):
Traders (that do well) get paid the most, then investment bankers, then private banking, then backoffice.

depends on what types of clients you bring in and how many accounts you handle. you'll make a nice chunk of your money from commission.
