For more specific insights into JPM's Private Capital Advisory team in London, it would be beneficial to connect with current or former employees or look for more detailed discussions on WSO forums.
Sources: What is Private Capital / Private Market Advisory?, Private Funds Group (CS/UBS etc), Exposure&Exit opportunity JPM structured Equity Financing, How is PJT London?, JP Morgan Exit Opps to Private Equity?
The space is dominated by Evercore>JEF>>> everyone else. JPM isn't bad, but they certainly aren't good.
Think you’re thinking of secondaries? JPM doesn’t have secondaries team, they have some wack partnership with Campbell. This group is something else.
Does PCA mean somthing different in Europe?
Did your friend hear back? I interviewed for the same role but yet to hear anything
Exits are ofc limited to secondaries PE or IR. V little chance at direct investing PE, or corp dev. Worth being aware off these limitations and that exit options are far more narrow vs being in M&A
Question - where are your thoughts on PCA and private funds (primaries) advising? Is the product group thriving, or dying? For private funds, is the product lucrative/growing enough to build an entire career out of, or best when cross-sold with secondaries advisory?
