Private Capital Advisory - career change advice / help needed!
Hi, I am interested in moving into the Private Capital Advisory industry (capital raising / secondary advisory). Targeting independent placement agents (Rede Partners, Campbell Lutyens etc) and the relevant teams at IBs (Lazard, Evercore, PJT Parkhill etc). Some places have dedicated graduate analyst schemes - which I think will be most suitable for me - rather than positions for those who want an exit from IB. Wouldn't necessarily mind a smaller shop for a start, but not if this will kill my career/ future options.
I am not currently in finance; recent graduate in commercial/corporate law (but with a strong mathematical background at GCSE/A-level). Interned at top law firms in PE/M&A/private funds.
