Private Equity Analyst Pay
Does anyone have any insight into how much a first year analyst (straight out of undergrad) could make in base and bonus? Let's say the fund has over $10B AUM. Thanks.
I'm a first year analyst at a ~10B in Texas. Higher fixed salary and lower bonus than NYC BB. Total comp works out to approx 80% of what top-tier 1st year BB analysts made last year. The slightly lower pay reflects better hours and cost of living.
Out of curiosity, any idea how much of the 20% discount is related to cost of living? I realize we're talking about PE, but for example, I was under the impression that BB satelittes in Texas paid the same as their NYC offices.
