Private Equity FOF or fixed income trading at top BB

I have received full-time offers from a private equity fund of fund and a fixed income group at a top bulge bracket bank (think GS, MS, etc.). In terms of prestige, compensation and exit opportunities which one would you choose? Note that I'm currently doing a quantitative degree at a target school and have little knowledge of PE FOF.
