Private Equity sales representative responsibilities and compensation at boutique investment bank?
Hi Guys,
I just got an interview for the position of Private Equity sales representative with a boutique investment bank this week. Their main focus is in PIPE and M&A.
Does anyone know what kind of responsibilities a private equity sales representative will take in smaller teams like this? In the job description, they stated marketing their financial offers to accredited investors and having working knowledge of healthcare industry and valuation methodologies.
Is their compensation largely dependent on commission/equity reward? I have never done a "sales" type of work...
I'm quite new to this and I have a PhD in Biological Engineering and some entrepreneur experience in healthcare sector.
I'll really appreciate if anyone can provide some insight!
Thanks.
