Private Investing as an Analyst?
My firm has terrible guidance around this..is there anything that would generally prohibit an Analyst from investing in private companies? I have come across a very interesting startup that I believe in / want to invest in but don’t know how that is seen from a firm perspective. I guess it is possible that it could cause some compliance issue if somehow we wanted to work with that company in the future? Feel like this was probably somewhere in the SIE book that I burned after the test lol
Ask compliance before investing in anything.
