Private Placement Sales Fintech to IB?

Currently work for a fintech startup that directly caters to private placements with issuers and broker-dealers but looking to make a very untraditional jump into IB. Not sure if this is even possible without an MBA but I spend the majority of my time tracking/researching deal flow and trying to line up with it to sell the product.

Previously worked in asset management as an analyst for a mining and metals focused fund - with a stint on the sellside covering tech.

Wondering what suggestions anyone has when thinking about making this jump?

I'm also considering an MBA right now but trying to make a jump like this happen without.
