Product Management

I am currently a senior in college and I have a full-time return offer at a very reputable bank. Looking back at my internship, I realized IB is really not for me for many reasons (hours, lack of ownership, culture, bitchwork that should be automated).

I recently found about product management and it seems like a good fit for me considering my interest for tech, entrepreneurship, finance and product development. I also interned at the tech group at my bank.

If anyone has any experience leveraging investment banking offer to receive a PM job at a big tech firm, I would very much appreciate your advice. I am not sure where to begin, and would love some of the resources I could leverage to figure out whether this would be a possible option for me.

Know someone who went from IB to PM. She took a heavy pay cut for an off cycle internship at a random company after graduation and leveraged it into a big tech APM role.
