Project finance -> corporate private credit/equity?
As title suggests – currently an AN1 in a PF group at a balance sheet bank in NYC. Mostly deal with PF lending and occasionally advisory work on renewables/infra. During undergrad, I wanted to do M&A -> PE/PC route (but didn't receive return from my IB SA stint) and ended up joining this PF group. I've learned a lot and would like to move on to PE/PC, ideally a generalist role instead of covering pure renewables/infra.
Is this move possible/reasonable given that I have some internship experiences in M&A and buyside on top of my PF analyst experience? Would appreciate any advice.
