Proper IB Budgeting Tips

Hey Monkeys,

Bout to be in a pretty privileged situation here. Entering IB in a HCOL city at a top paying shop with my housing covered by family. What do ppl suggest for allocating funds towards specific expenses or investments to maximize my money and have it well budgeted? COL being covered is huge so I want to save as much as I can given my high salary. Tips on where specific and how much would be helpful too (EG IRA 7k/yr, etc.).
