Prospects - never write yourself off!

As internship app szn swings around...

I was a loser in high school.

i don't mean socially, i mean i was just smoking weed, abusing cough syrup, and taking shrooms all the time. always had very high test scores but ended up with a 3.2 (weighted) GPA lol and got rejected by nearly every school i applied to.

got super depressed and didn't even end up going to college. just stayed at home, did drugs, and chased girls lol.

my parents, of course, got sick of this quickly. forced me to go to college the next year (either i went or would have disowned me) . got a very nice girlfriend who help put me back on track.

im now 22 with an offer at a top group. the intention of this post is not to brag but to demonstrate that not everyone in IB/PEcomes from the perfect 4.0 GPA at Andover/Hotchkiss/Choate/Harvard Westlake -> WITG SSG pipeline. some of us were losers too!!! your competition is going to be made up of nice, intelligent, fun kids from good families.

After all, smart people have smart kids. But that doesn't mean you can't hang!
