What's the public finance scene like in Asia and Europe? Do the BBs have groups in their HK and London offices? Would it be possible for someone starting in PubFin at a NY BB to move over to HK after their analyst stint, either as a lateral or moving to the buy side?
Seems like PubFin is kind of U.S.-focused since it deals with U.S. munis, but would it be transferable to Asian/European funds that invest in munis, or would the experience in infrastructure, utility projects, etc be transferrable?
