P&U/Renewables/Infra IB

Currently recruiting for a SA 2025 position and have found interest in P&U/Renewables/Infra IB and would love to hear from current bankers or former bankers in the space on helpful ways to learn more about the industry. Would also love to hear top groups in the BB and MM space and what culture is like. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like you're on the right track with your interest in Power & Utilities (P&U), Renewables, and Infrastructure Investment Banking (IB).

For learning more about the industry, I'd recommend diving into the WSO Courses and WSO Academy. They offer a wealth of knowledge on these topics. You can also follow recent deals in the industry, as this will give you a real-world understanding of the dynamics at play.

As for the top groups in the BB and MM space, it appears that Macquarie, Evercore, and RBC are well respected in the industry. Other banks like WF have their teams in Charlotte, RBC has a few folks in Houston, and Guggenheim has a few people in San Fran.

The culture can vary from group to group, but generally, it's a collaborative environment with good deal flow. However, it's always a good idea to network with current or former bankers in these groups to get a firsthand account of the culture.

Lastly, don't forget to brush up on industry-specific multiples like rate case multiples, which are commonly used in this sector.

Remember, the journey to high finance offers is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep learning, keep networking, and you'll get there. Good luck!
