Putting Selected Transaction Experience for SA28 Recruiting
Is it dumb to put transaction experience if i did super small single digit $mm deals when recruiting? Also note, that was back when i was transitioning from senior hs to freshman uni student, now I am working for an asset manager and might get a transaction or two so should i focus on the two from the asset manager or have one from each? Also is it just OD to put transaction experience at this level or could it look really good on the resume, don't want to come off the wrong way in the recruiter's eyes if it is bad.

I put mine but I’ve been told not to make it sound too technical so you don’t sound like a snob
what does a "too technical" one sound like? sorry if thats a dumb question too lol
Just don’t put in anything your not fully comfortable explaining. So don’t overstate what you did basically.
I’d advise against this because nine out of ten times, students do not have legitimate deal experience, and it can make you look like a snob. You also don’t want to take up too much space or overstate work that you’re going to get asked about anyway. If I saw a sophomore claiming a ton of deal experience, I would probably ding them on credibility --- unless, of course, they had legitimate deal work and a real role.
In other words, if you did a remote search fund internship, don’t claim you have deal experience. PM me for details.
