PWP RX or M&A NYC?
Have an offer for full time and will have to go through placement before I start next year. I don’t have experience in neither so I’m not sure what I would like more. I want to be in a group that would give me more optionality for the future regarding exit opps? What exit opp I want? Not sure. I have been looking at private credit but recently started looking at PE since PWP is good for those kind of exit opps (supposedly). I would really appreciate the help.
They're completely different. You should be able to at least have a sense of what each does so you should have SOME kind of preference. RX will probably have better placement.
If you're not dead-set on RX, I would highly suggest going into M&A.
It will give you the widest spectrum of exit opps (Growth, PE, Corp Dev, Start-up, etc.)! Should you find out that RX is your thing, I'm sure it's not too difficult to switch teams!
