Quality and Exit Ops of MS Coverage Groups

Hey all,

I’m an incoming junior SA at MS NY and after placement looks like I’m going to be in a coverage group that doesn’t execute its own M&A (but is otherwise strong). Can anyone give me some insight into the strength of different coverage groups relative to those at Goldman? What will exit ops be like from a solid MS coverage group vs. one at Goldman? How does a generalist role at EVR or M&A at a JPM or Citi for compare for PE exit ops? I would also love to get some insight into how some MS coverage groups place into PE overall, especially from groups like Sponsors, Industrials, Services, and Healthcare. There are only a few threads on WSO about this and most are either unclear/contentious or out of date.
