Question about fall full time interviews

I am fortune enough to have a CEO forwarding my resume to two bulge brackets and three leading middle market firms. When would be the ideal time for him to pull the trigger and send the resume. I thought that now would be a good idea, but he said we should probably wait till the fall recruiting process began. However, he did say the final decision was in my hands. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do not want to disclose it on a message board. He was the CEO of a fortune 500 company, and now he runs a fortune small business 100 company. He definitely has some clout in the business world if that is what you were asking.

I'm assuming you looked into any deals he may have while CEO of Company X to see if he's reaching out to any previous financial advisors? Ask him to send in early Sept.

he should definitely send it now, BEFORE fall recruiting begins. all the top shops are already filling in their analyst slots with SA's and from accelerated invite-only superdays. you want to be ahead of the game, not with the game.

LB Banker, that is exactly what we did. For example, he would say "I worked with MD X at this firm in 2003 in DCM. I will forward your resume to him." I did not really have to do any looking as he just told me all his past deals.

Snazzy thanks for the advice that is what I thought. I will tell him to forward my resume asap.
