Question about Goldman Sachs internship.

We all know a GS internship is very hard to get. But I was wondering if there are internships available at both offices -- the one in NYC and the one in Jersey City. Are students only applying for internships at their headquarters, or do they apply to the GS located in Jersey City as well?

From what I know, Goldman Jersey City is essentially back office and middle market operations only. I think their IT, operations, and other support functions are based in Jersey City. There was ambitions (on the part of then CEO Corzine, a NJ resident) to move trading (which is based in 1 NY Plaza not 85 Broad) to Jersey City. However, most of the traders revolted and Goldman scaled back its plans.

Some of the Securities desks are in Jersey City. For example, I know GSET (GS Electronic Trading) is located in the Jersey City building. I think there's another Securities division desk located in the Jersey City building, not sure though.

Also, since Goldman is moving to 200 West in a few months, not sure how much of this will change. Will anything be left in Jersey?
