Long-time reader, first time poster. I will be joining Baird's investment banking group this upcoming summer and had several questions regarding their cell phone policy:
(1) Can someone confirm that they provide their employees cell phones?
(2) Do they only provide Blackberry's to their employees or are they willing to give you an iPhone or Android device?
(3) Do they allow employees to port in their number?
Sorry for the dumb questions, but my cell phone contract is up in the spring. Rather than renewing my contract for another 2 years to get a new phone, I am thinking to just wait until I am given a device from the firm so I don't have to carry around two phones all the time. If they only give employees Blackberry's, then I think I will end up just sucking it up and carrying around an Android device or iPhone.

Did not you notice what phones the bankers were using when you networked with them? I would be shocked to hear that in all your networking a banker never looked at his/her phone...usually a good sign of what they are issued.
