Question: Why MO/BO roles?
Hey Monkeys, I've got an interview coming up for a MO/BO office role at a BB and am anticipating the "why this department" question. Of course, I'm interviewing for the name and because I didn't get a FO role this fall but can't say that. What are some good things to say about the MO/BO?
Depends heavily on what sort of MO/BO role you're targeting.
If it's one that works with several divisions (eg risk), you can say that you want to get a broader view of banking and you believe a central/above the wall role lets you see, understand and work with a broad range of teams and situations, as compared to a front office business role that could be too focused and blinkered at such an early stage in your career.
