Questions about political contributions on job applications

I would like to go to an event for a political candidate I support, but the ticket for the event costs money and is technically classified as a political contribution. I have seen many banks and other companies ask questions about political contributions in job applications and wonder how disclosing this contribution would impact recruiting. Does anyone have experience with saying yes to this question or know how it could impact my future recruiting? I won't go to the event if it could have a negative impact
