Quick HR Contact Question

Good morning everybody, I hope your holidays have been going well.

Quick question for you guys - The other day I got an email from a great boutique (but I think you could still consider it somewhat small), asking me if I was still on the market for a summer internship, as they'd like to include me in the interviewing process for their sophomore program.

Of course, I replied as soon as I saw the email and accepted, and asked what next steps I need to take. Unfortunately, no reply so far. Does it make sense that HR could just be setting up the process and I should just wait for the next email? Or need I be more proactive (at the risk of being pushy).

Thanks for helping me solve this situation, which I'm sure some of you may find trivial.

I honestly have no clue, but I was wondering if you could tell me what sophomore program it is, and if you know of any other sophomore program? Im trying to find summer internships as well, and I keep finding myself applying to junior internships that I know I am not going to get . . .

The mind cannot foresee its own advance.

Don't be pushy - last impression you want to give as a sophomore. Lots of people are still on holiday and would be difficult to arrange timing with the line manager out of the office. Or they could just be very busy. Boutique = small = more staff responsibilities and less staff = busy people all around.

If it's just an HR phone screen, wait a week. If it's more involved, wait 2 weeks. How long ago did they contact you?
