Quick Question

So like most people on this board, I'm gunning for a SA position at a BB or top boutique.

One of my alumni is CFO of a medium sized Pharma company, and his company is going public in the next 2 months or so.

He forwarded my resume to MDs (I believe the guys working on his company) at 3 BBs and one top boutique (think Lazard, Greenhill, etc).

I know most guys are on vacation right now, but one of the guys at the top boutique responded saying that he will get my resume in the "queue".

Right now I am also in the process of getting my resume passed to HR at several other BBs and mm/boutiques.

My question is, should I try to follow up with the MD (who I have never met), or should I try to contact HR at these places to see if they have received my resume.

I don't want to piss anyone off, especially since many people are on vacation, but I also want to try to get into the system so when I'm back home in NJ, I can try to get in front of some recruiters.

Let me know your guy's thoughts, sorry for the long post.
