R programming course

Does anyone know of a place that offers courses in R-programming in NYC / online courses (preferably focusing on finance)? I tried searching with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone learned R?

What is the background required to actually learn this?

I would like to learn, but with little statistical background and no programming I think it may be a bit much to try and self-learn.

accountingbyday - R is the most recent development of the S-programming series, languages specifically made for statistics. What this means is that most online teaching sources will not teach you R without teaching you statistics too (e.g. do a t-test of this data).

I've just found a bunch of stuff freely available online to look through. As for R specific to finance - How many courses do you know in C++ specific to finance? Just learn the R, the rest will follow.
