Reaching out to firm with hiring freeze?
I had an interview with a firm about 2 months ago and it went really well. Unfortunately a couple days after the interview I was told they went on a hiring freeze. I reached out to a VP and some others (I got along really well with everyone) who told me what had happened, that they were sorry about it, and how they did actually enjoy meeting me and that my technicals were “flawless” etc. I now received an offer from a couple other places, but I really want this specific role/company. Is it a bad idea to reach out and let them know I’ve got a couple offers with deadlines in the coming weeks, is there any chance of their hiring freeze being lifted?
