Reaching out to Fund With Previous Offer

Currently a senior that didn’t get a FT offer from IB SA, was wondering if it would be good idea to reach out to venture firm that I was able to get an offer from for an internship to learn about any potential FT ops? Or is this too much?

Totally depends on how you parted ways. If the relationship is good, you can always frame it as: you wanted some stronger transaction experience because people advised you some IB experience will help you make a better VC or some crap like that. And that you are very interested to work for them as your goal has always to be an investor.

Or, if it was less than optimal departure (renege after verbal or written yes), it is a bit much.
Worst they can do is say no and perhaps blacklist you. More of a contextual clue situation and cannot really say which is the right answer without being in the situation first-hand. But if you did nothing wrong, no harm no foul.
