Reasons for getting dinged in R1 interviews

Hi,

I did an off-cycle at a top MM bank in a continental Europe regional office and did sadly not get a RO. Since, I have applied to multiple other OC internships at BB/EBs in London, and gotten some interviews. However, although I felt the interviews went well, I got dinged in R1 everytime. None of the interviewees asked me about a RO from my previous internship, but I assume its kinda implied to everyone I did not get one (as I am recruiting).

Now I am wondering if anyone can provide some color on...

1) When screening CVs, is it viewed as a redflag to have done an OC in a regional european office at a "good" bank, yet apply to another OC?

2) Even if I get an interview, and they do not ask about any RO, is it still possible they ding me afterwards as they assume I do not have one?
