who sees cvs and resumes in recruiting process

A question regarding recruiting process: is it true that in BB when it comes to recruit interns⁄analysts, all the resumes and CVs are brought to current analysts and associates that went to that particular university? Meaning that all the analysts and the associates are divided into groups according to the university they come from and HR will bring to each group only the resumes and Cvs of students coming from that Uni.

For example: the Harvard analysts/associates will only see and select resumes from people coming from Harvard, the same for Oxford, Cambridge and ect.

I believe this work in the US, but wanted to know if it works in Europe as well

Thanks in advance
