Reference Total Comp in my offer letter - Question
So I got an offer letter in IB, and my base is 80k. At the end of the letter, in the appendix, it says my annualized Reference Total Compensation is 110k. Bonuses are paid out in February/March, and I start around July.
Regarding the total comp of 110k, it says it is annualized and based on the entire performance year, which is from Jan 1st - Dec 31st.
Since I will only be working for half the year, does that mean I should be expecting a bonus of 15k or 30k? Assuming a 30k bonus, but since I work only half the year, am I supposed to get a 15k bonus?
For reference, I am an incoming IB analyst with no idea how bonuses work.
Ya prorated bonus for months you work is generally good gauge
But if the wording is awkward you might actually wanna clarify. Doesn’t seem standardized
