Refunds for airbnb's this summer
For any other interns out there who are now virtual and had booked an airbnb, have you been able to get a full refund for cancellation?

Airbnb can't even pay their ex-intern class I don't think theres much hope for refunds

Update/PSA: Was indeed able to get a full refund, make sure you call and ask so you don't lose the deposit.
I got a full refund and cancelled two days ago. The host needs to approve the request for a full refund though. Changes to the policy may be coming May 1st allowing you to get a full refund without host approval.
Was there an official place to make this request? When I got to the "cancel due to covid" option, I either get $0 cash or my original amount but in travel credit. Obviously I'm looking for a cash refund so not sure what to do here.
I messaged my host explaining the situation. Then he cancelled on his end which made it easier for me. I would recommend reaching out to the host. Also my place was in NYC idk if that matters in terms of the policy difference.
