I think it's something worth considering, but also a potentially dangerous move. I imagine Goldman and Blackstone work on a lot of things together, and that -- if Blackstone gets pissed -- Blackstone could (out of principle) say something to Goldman, who then might reconsider offering you the job. I obviously don't know if this would happen, but it seems possible. Just don't know if it's a 5% possibility or 50% possibility.
